The estate in ten facts
2007 — Carloto Magalhães made the first wine with grapes from the property.
The early years — The wine was made at neighbouring Quinta da Canameira.
2012 — The estate’s cellar was completed.
38 hectares — The property includes vines, olive groves, almond trees, pasture and the reservoir.
The vineyard — The vineyard area is 22.7 hectares, of which 20.9 are planted.
Four hectares of old vines — Over sixty years old, with 46 varieties planted together, some still unidentified.
Sheep among the vines — During dormancy, they help control the vegetation.
Three ranges — Palato do Côa and Vinha da Migalha come from the estate. Vinhas do Côa brings together grapes from two estates owned by the partners.
2025 — The reservoir was built to store water for the vineyard and the animals.
380 bottles — The production of Vinha da Migalha Tinto 2017, a numbered edition.
